Biography

Beverley grew up in Kenya, Liverpool, Indonesia, Somerset and London and she spent much of her varied upbringing on the stage. After achieving A grades in both the practical and theoretical sides of Theatre Studies A level she went on to study under the late Sam Kogan at the Academy of the Science of Acting and Directing in London. During her training there she performed at two Podium Festivals in Moscow (in productions of Chekhovs 'Three Sisters' and Gogols 'Marriage') and was involved in over 15 productions at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, with lead roles ranging from Brooke Daniels in Ben Eltons 'Popcorn' to Annabel Glick in quirky musical 'Lucky Stiff' to The Girl in Harold Pinters 'A Night Out'. Since training Beverley has continued to work on a variety of different productions from the West End to the good old London fringe. She gained critical acclaim for her performance of all four female characters in Alan Ayckbourns 'A Cricket Match' at the Eye Theatre, and was thrilled to play the role of Lisa in the first ever production of 'Windermere' by up and coming Liverpudlian writer Tommy Kearney. Most recently she played Mozarts' sister 'Nannerl' in a new adaptation of his life called 'The Mozart Story' and Suzanne in 'Therese Raquin' at the Riverside Studios.

In the past few years Beverley has been drawn towards the world of film and after working with talented writer/director Kara Miller on 'Nobody the Great' this new found passion was confirmed. Since then Beverley has gone on to work on a number of productions ranging greatly in genre, style, length and budget and her work has been enjoyed by an international audience at festivals worldwide. (See CV )Over the past year she has also cut her teeth as a producer working with real-life mother Barbara Hatwell to produce two short films reflecting the mother-daughter relationship, which play together under the title 'Century', and also a half hour fund raising documentary for a primary school in Uganda called 'Our future Your future', which screened at the beautiful Odeon on Holloway Road.
